Creating a Content Model that Focuses on Intent, not Design

When working with a headless CMS, you need to create a content model to support your domain information. The #1 mistake most people make is to create a content model that mixes domain content with design. Even though this will solve your short term issues (e.g. migrating from a legacy CMS to a headless one quickly), you are basically duplicating a legacy CMS structure on top of your shiny new headless CMS. When you are ready to deliver your content to multiple channels, not just the web, you will now have to deal with “dirty content” which will have to be cleaned by removing markup tags, scripts and other metadata that mean absolutely nothing to a newsletter, SMS message or an iOT channel. In this session, you’ll learn all about the Content Intent Digram, how to build the content model using the Content Intent Diagram and how to migrate that model to a headless CMS (for domain content) and a DXC system (for design / volatile content).
