Sean Lane is currently the Technology Principal for the digital studio at pointb. His recent endeavors have included consulting for the largest eTail company in Europe, delivering a foundation for digital product creation (DPC) and a roadmap for the future. Before consulting, Sean was the Head of Product Technologies & Digital Innovation at Columbia Sportswear, where he was responsible for the technologies that supported Product Creation from design through development, sourcing, costing, and quality. Prior to Columbia Sportswear, Sean was with Nike for 15 years where he held several leadership roles in operations and technology, including Director of Product Creation Technology, focused on merchandising and analytics.
Over the past decade, Sean has also been focused on emerging tech building immersive and augmented content. His experience in Digital Product Creation (DPC) led him to look at ways to use these rich digital assets to solve brand challenges and enable opportunities. He has created immersive and augmented experiences for employees and consumers to improve efficiencies and create engaging brand experiences. Sean also speaks at innovation conferences around the world and shares his ideas on advanced concepts that link DPC to automation using AI and Machine Learning things like neural networks.
