About LavaCon
LavaCon is held most years in Hawaii
(hence our name) so attendees can get away from
back-to-back deadlines and de-stress long enough to take care
of their corporate and professional development.
LavaCon was founded in 2002 to help businesses manage technology projects. Our program has expanded over the years to include sessions on how to break into government contracting, how to manage technical and non-technical projects, how to leverage social media and technical communication technologies, and more.
Why New Orleans in 2009?
While some outlying areas of New Orleans were truly devastated after hurricane Katrina, the city itself weathered the store quite well—far better than the gloom and doom (still!) being reported in the national media.
All New Orleans needs now for a complete recovery is for tourism (and the revenue it generates) to return to pre-Katrina levels. So we're going back to New Orleans in 2009 for a really great conference...and some really great food!
Come join us!
See you in October,
Jack
